The Grand, York – Large Hotel of the Year Award

Splendid Hospitality Group is thrilled to announce that The Grand, York won a Gold Award for Large Hotel of the Year at the Visit England Awards for Excellence. The prestigious awards acknowledge the best of the country’s tourism industry and celebrate quality, innovation, and customer service.

Members from the incredible team behind The Grand attended a presentation ceremony at The Rum Warehouse in Liverpool to collect the award. The team joined a select group of winners from across the country, each gaining recognition for excellence in their field.

Having recently won the title of The Caterer’s Top 30 Places to Work in Hospitality, The Grand is enjoying a fantastic awards season, a testament to the exemplary customer service at our York-based hotel.

The Grand, York, General Manager, Simon Mahon, said, “We are ecstatic with this evening’s results for both The Grand and the other York ambassadors—two Gold and two Silver Awards; it’s an amazing outcome for us all and for York.”

Simon went on to recognise the work of his outstanding team and said, “I am incredibly proud of the team at The Grand for their hard work and commitment to championing true Yorkshire hospitality in all we do!”

The celebrations didn’t stop there. York-based businesses Monk Bridge House and Deathly Dark Tours walked away with silver awards in their categories, and The Wizard Walk of York achieved gold!
